Shaker + AccountTech

Today is a big day for Shaker! We are excited to announce that AccountTech, the only web-based, multi-tenant accounting solution for the real estate industry, has acquired Shaker. 

We know that news of an acquisition can often set off alarm bells, but please know that this is a good move, not only for the Shaker platform, but for our users and future users. 

Firstly, Shaker will still be run and operated as it has in the past. We will continue to service our current customers and new customers. 

Secondly,  and what is most exciting, is that with this acquisition, Shaker will begin to incorporate functionality that AccountTech provides. We will blend their functionality into Shaker to provide advanced transaction management features like commission tracking and payouts, deeper compliance functionality for larger real estate teams and brokerages, and more that we will announce in the upcoming months. 

The Reason Why:

When we were in discussions the most important aspect of any deal was that the simplicity of the product, the usability, and our commitment to serving real estate teams stay paramount to anything else. In the past four years we have grown a considerable amount, however we wanted take Shaker to even greater heights. When we considered all the factors, we knew that we needed a partner who was well-established, was committed to the sqme values we were, and that wanted to continue to upend the real estate technology landscape. We also wanted a partner that was not happy just duct-taping solutions together like many of the current residential real estate technology solutions on the market. We wanted a partnership that made sense to create a better and more complete transaction platform.

Combining Shaker's project and task management, automated email and text solutions, and our industry leading client portal with commission reporting, accounting, and compliance creates a solution that just makes sense!

AccountTech has always been about innovating and creating solutions that best serve their customers and allows them to minimize the number of systems they use. Today, with the acquisition of Shaker, allows them and us to continue down that path. 

We are committed to building a full transaction management system that serves real estate teams and brokerages while also looking into the future and building functionality that will save teams and brokerages time and money by having to utilize fewer systems. 

What Happens Now?

You may notice some small changes in the near future. For instance, we have a new support website. We will also be changing billing systems in the upcoming months. We will make sure that we communicate changes via email as quickly as possible. 

While the changes with our operations will be slightly changed, the application will not be disrupted or discontinued. In fact, we are quickly looking to add functionality in the next few months to provide a better overall transaction experience and to expand on our offerings.
