The next step in our road to closing is to get quotes for homeowners insurance if you haven't already.

Lenders require homeowners insurance in place to guarantee your loan, and not having insurance in time could delay your closing. It’s a good idea to get at least three quotes to compare coverage as well as costs. When quoting insurance, the cheapest policy isn’t necessarily the best - you also need to ensure have enough coverage to protect your asset if something unexpected occurs. Note, please avoid an “Actual Cash Value” policy since these are not acceptable to the lender.

Once you have picked a company please let me and your lender know who you have chosen to go with along with the Insurance Agents contact information so we can coordinate prior to closing.
